Flytying DVDs is a branch of Video Ventures that is a television production group who teamed up with skilled fly fishermen and tyers to produce professional quality instructional media. Our tyers represent regions extending from the west coast to the east coast.

It was our vision to produce fly tying television programs that are shot from the tyer’s point of view. Video Ventures is the company that introduced the POV camera…a small camera positioned only inches away from the fly as it is being tied that allows the viewer to see amazing details—all from the tyer’s point of view. In addition to the POV camera, we use two digital broadcast cameras for our cover and over-the shoulder views.

Building on our previous broadcast production experience, Video Ventures is again leading the way. We are taking advantage of new technology that allows us to offer a way for you to create a custom made DVD program. For the first time—ever—you can choose individual fly patterns from our large library and have a custom DVD made specifically for you.

Our tyers are nationally and internationally known figures and are icons in the fly fishing industry. They are authors of books and contributors to magazines, and are regular guest speakers and tyers at major sportsman’s shows. Their instruction is clear, concise and easy to follow.
